This month has been full of so many happy moments & good books! it’s definitely been one of my favourites ⋆.˚⟡ ࣪ ˖
The biggest highlight was finally having my partner home after his seven month work trip, so we’ve been soaking up all the lost time together. We’ve had some lovely date days and evenings, including an Italian small plates restaurant that was absolutely delicious. We also had a beach day which, if you saw my last post, you’ll know I fully dedicated to reading ( a little Mr Amna Tyler reveal on slide two 🤭)
I only finished two books in July because life has been so busy, but I loved them both. Finale was the perfect ending to the Caraval series and I already miss the characters but next stop is OUABH! I also read Don’t Let Him In which completely lived up to my expectation. Suspenseful, intense thrillers are becoming one of my favourite things to read and Lisa Jewell writes sick and twisted evil men like no other.
As well as reading to my heart’s content, I’ve also been baking. I included a little photo of my first summer cake on slide two, a lemon and blueberry cake with lemon cream cheese icing and it was pretty delicious, if I do say so myself 🍋🫐 I also made another batch of my rose icing cupcakes from last month. I forgot to take a picture but trust me, they were so yum too <3

Beach days have quickly become my favourite way to read. I swear I get through books twice as fast with the sound of waves in the background and summer + romance books are the perfect pairing. I had to include some of my all-time favourite romances on the last slide because I promise they’ll leave you with that sparkly, summery feeling long after you’ve finished!!
As for what I’ve been reading, I just finished Don’t Let Him In by Lisa Jewell and absolutely loved it. It’s my 11th book by her now! If you’re after a thriller that’s easy to fly through, gripping, full of chilling twists and characters that feel real, I’ll never stop recommending her books.

as soon as I saw it was wisteria season I knew exactly what I had to do 😅 Wisteria by Adalyn Grace was EVERYTHING. I wasn’t sure at first because I loved the original characters so much, but it still managed to pull at my heart in a way I didn’t expect at all. so devastatingly romantic and tragic I haven’t stopped thinking about it, so had to give it a little spotlight here!

I always get the urge to pick up classics around this time of year. My favourites have to be Little Women, Emma, Pride and Prejudice and The Great Gatsby. Something about spring just suits them so well.
&& if there’s one thing a classic will do, it’s give you a yearning man. 10/10 every time 🤭
I’ve been spending the start of spring going on nice walks and reading whenever I can. My cousin is a dog sitter so I had the sweetest reading buddy last week. This handsome boy kept me company on a sunny reading day 🐾
